Welcome to another episode of D93 News, presented by Idaho Farm Bureau! As we gear up for the November 5th election, we’re also celebrating Homecoming Week for Hillcrest High School. Stay tuned for the details on the Hillcrest Homecoming Parade happening tomorrow!

In today’s top story, we take a deep dive into the history of Pine Basin, a place that has played a pivotal role in the development of skiing in Eastern Idaho.

Roman Stonhill from Thunder Ridge High School has been named a Commended Student in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program! We’re proud of his incredible academic achievements.
D93 has opened sign-ups for the 2024-2025 Preschool Newsletter. This monthly newsletter for children ages 3-5 includes a free book delivered to families every month from October through May.

Finally, Hillcrest High School is gearing up for their Homecoming Parade, which will take place this Friday. The parade will travel through various D93 neighborhoods, beginning near McCowin Park.

Here’s the parade route and schedule:

2:20 p.m.– Hillview Elementary
2:35 p.m.– Ammon Elementary
2:40 p.m. – Sandcreek Middle School
2:45 p.m.– Hillcrest High School
